The current HGV speed limits are 40mph single lanes, 40/50mph Dual Carriage ways (varies based on whether it's a dual carriage A road or M) and motorways are 60mph for unlimited engines. Laws in U.S. are different from EU. In the states a truck can drive up to 85 mph which translates to 137 km/h while in europe the standard speed for trucks (with trailer) are 80 km/h or 50 mph. Maybe is some parts of Texas. Most of the US is 65-70 MPH, and trucks in California are limited to 55 MPH legally. #12.
