Borderlesswindow mode has actually solved my crashing/freezing problem thus far. I wasn't able to play more than a few minutes without it freezing my whole system - forcing me to shut down and restart. Even on low low settings though I still can't get more than 40fps and its very laggy when running or during combat.
Justsearch around here for solutions to prevent the game's unstoppabble flitching because it was made for previous Windows OS and above Windows 7 it tends to flicker until your manually edit some *.ini game file. It was how I minimized the flickering inside mine when I went to replay it a few years later upon a newer PC.
